Wheel style editor
Adjust rings, symbol placement, lines, labels and colours with a live preview.
Screenshots show the Ukrainian app interface. The English guide describes the same controls.
What it is and why it matters
Wheel style controls how the same chart is drawn. It is an appearance setting for reading and printing, separate from the astrological calculation.
When to use it
- When you want a look closer to a familiar program.
- When crowded labels need more room or a chart needs to be prepared for printing.
Terms explained
- Natal chart
- The sky chart for the time and place of birth. It provides the starting chart for comparisons with forecasting techniques.
- Aspect
- An angular relationship between two chart points that matches an angle enabled in the calculation, such as a 90° square.
Where to find it
Settings → Wheel → Edit wheel style.
How to use it
- Open the editor from the wheel settings. The main wheel shows changes immediately; on narrow screens a preview appears inside the editor.
- Use the sliders to adjust zodiac and outer ring widths, the central circle size, and symbol distance from the centre and from each other. Dimensions adjust together to keep room for labels.
- Under Lines and labels, change aspect and house line widths and label size. Expand the colour groups to choose the background, axes, each aspect type and each zodiac sign.
- Click Done or press Escape to return to settings. Changes are already saved on the device. Default style resets only the appearance edited here.
Settings and options
Select an option to learn how it works and when to use it. The label beside its name shows whether it affects calculations, chart appearance or data.
Rings, symbols, lines and labelsAppearance
Adjust rings, symbol placement, lines, labels and colours with a live preview.
- What changes
- Use the sliders to adjust zodiac and outer ring widths, the central circle size, and symbol distance from the centre and from each other. Dimensions adjust together to keep room for labels.
- When to use it
- Under Lines and labels, change aspect and house line widths and label size. Expand the colour groups to choose the background, axes, each aspect type and each zodiac sign.
Available options
- Zodiac ring width
- Changes the thickness of the coloured zodiac ring while keeping its outer edge fixed.
- Central circle size
- Changes the size of the aspect field while retaining enough room for large labels around it.
- Outer ring width
- Changes the width of transit, forecast and comparison rings. A single chart has no outer rings.
- Planet distance from centre
- Positive values move symbols towards the zodiac ring; negative values move them towards the central circle. Exact-position markers stay at the planet coordinates.
- Planet symbol spacing
- Changes the visual gap between nearby symbols. Labels are spaced automatically without changing longitudes.
- Aspect line width
- Changes the width of all visible aspect lines while retaining their relative width differences based on orb.
- House cusp line width
- Changes the width of house cusp lines on the wheel. Asc–Dsc and MC–IC axes remain separate elements.
- Label size
- Changes coordinate and house label size together with their placement spacing. Planet glyphs are not enlarged.
100% is the default value for that setting. Planet offset is zero at the default position; positive values move symbols away from the centre.

Each colour field opens the system colour picker. Expand a group using the arrow beside its name.
- What changes
- Custom colours retain your chosen values; defaults without overrides follow the theme. Monochrome export also converts custom colours to shades of grey.
- When to use it
- Check readability before export, especially after changing the background or when using multiple rings.
Default style / DoneAppearance
Click Done or press Escape to return to settings. Changes are already saved on the device. Default style resets only the appearance edited here.
- What changes
- Appearance is saved on the device for all charts; it is not a setting of an individual chart record.
- When to use it
- Reset the appearance to restore the original geometry and palette. The visible-aspect and exact-label checkboxes in settings retain their values.
The result
The custom appearance applies to all charts, comparison rings, printing and exports.
Worked example
This is a teaching example; results for your chart may differ.
- Situation
- Planets close together are hard to read on the chart.
- What to do
- Increase symbol spacing, adjust label size and check the wheel.
- How to read the result
- Symbols become easier to distinguish while Planets retains the exact coordinates.
For professional practice
Check readability before export, especially after changing the background or when using multiple rings.
What to check for a precise comparison
Appearance is saved on the device for all charts; it is not a setting of an individual chart record.
Keep in mind
100% is the default value for that setting. Planet offset is zero at the default position; positive values move symbols away from the centre.
The editor changes only the display. Coordinates, planet houses, orbs, tables and calculated aspects stay the same. A marker shows the true position even when the symbol is shifted.
Custom colours retain your chosen values; defaults without overrides follow the theme. Monochrome export also converts custom colours to shades of grey.
