Birth time rectification by clustering
Compare the dates of birth by date of life.
Screenshots show the Ukrainian app interface. The English guide describes the same controls.
What it is and why it matters
The condensation method selects the birth time options and compares them according to given life events and predictive rules. The chart shows which candidates have scored more in this performance.
When to use it
- When there are several reliably dated events and an approximate date of birth.
- When you need to compare candidates within one interval.
Terms explained
- Birth time rectification
- Investigation of possible birth times using a particular method. The calculation produces candidates for checking, rather than a confirmed birth-time record.
- Orb
- The permitted deviation from an exact aspect angle. A wider orb includes more contacts and extends the periods during which they are considered active.
- Asc and MC
- The Ascendant (Asc) is associated with the intersection of the ecliptic and the eastern horizon. The Midheaven (MC) is associated with the upper part of the local meridian. Both depend on time and location.
Where to find it
Technique of the “Method”.
How to use it
- Prepare a saved native chart and related life events with dates and places. In the current web interface such links are transferred by importing ZET (events "-" after native) or from a backup.
- Open the method of condensation. Select events, their weight, predictive methods, planets and angles.
- Set the search interval, step and orb, then click “Calculate”. Stop the calculation.
- Compare the curve, peak and histogram. “Calculate further” adds the next interval to the session.
- Select a candidate and apply to the chart with confirmation. You can return to previous calculations through the list of sessions.
Settings and options
Select an option to learn how it works and when to use it. The label beside its name shows whether it affects calculations, chart appearance or data.
Select life eventsCalculation
Selection of preserved life events for the time-candidate assessment.
- What changes
- Enabled: event is included in the sum; off: excluded. Events required related to the current saved click.
- When to use it
- Start with reliably dated events of different topics; change composition to check the endurance of the result.
WeightCalculation
Relative contribution of event in scores of condensation.
- What changes
- Field 0-5 with step 0.5: a larger number amplifies the contribution. This is not a measured probability and not proof of the accuracy of the date.
- When to use it
- Choose the weight rule in advance; do not raise weight only to enhance the desired peak.
Methods: Transit / Secondary progression / Solar arc direction / Solar returnCalculation
Technicians whose contacts with events participate in the assessment.
- What changes
- Each selected method contributes to the score; disabled methods add no points. Changing the set of methods changes the session conditions.
- When to use it
- Compare the results of individual methods with the sum to see the source of peak.
Method planets / Asc and MC (H1, H10)Calculation
Set of bodies and angular points in each enabled method.
- What changes
- Use the planet buttons to select bodies. Enable Asc and MC to include points sensitive to birth time. Including or excluding them can substantially change the shape of the curve.
- When to use it
- To play the result, keep the stock separately for each technique.
IntervalCalculation
The length of one passage of the study of possible birth time.
- What changes
- A larger value covers a wider window, but requires more calculations. The beginning of the passage is indicated next to.
- When to use it
- Start with a reasonable range of uncertainty, not just a narrow circle of the desired time.
StepCalculation
Distance in minutes between the candidates.
- What changes
- A smaller step checks the window more tightly and counts longer. It limits the discretion of the result but does not confirm the same actual accuracy.
- When to use it
- First look at the wider window, then clarify the prospective area.
OrbCalculation
Allow the contact to be removed when the contact is removed.
- What changes
- A wider orb increases the number of hits and can smooth the curve; a narrower gives a stricter selection.
- When to use it
- Check peak stability for several reasonable orb, not just one value.
Calculate / Continue calculation / Sessions / Delete sessionAction
Run a passage, extend a neighboring interval, or view the previous series of calculations.
- What changes
- The continuation preserves compatible conditions. Changing events or methods starts a new session; deleting deletes its results, not chart and events.
- When to use it
- Compare passes within agreed terms; a renewed session may contain old results before a new launch.
Peaks / Scores / Hits / HistogramAction
A click of peak selects the time candidate; scores - a weighted outcome, hits - the number of corresponding contacts.
- What changes
- The histogram shows the distribution of moving points mod 30° for the chosen peak. High peak is the result of the rules of this session.
- When to use it
- Assess stability on independent events; number of hits is not a statistical certainty in time.
Apply to chartAction
Substitutes the selected time-candidate in the birth record after confirmation.
- What changes
- Chart is listed and stored with new time. Choosing a peak to view does not do this by itself.
- When to use it
- Keep the initial data and justification before application; compare the candidate with other sources.
The result
The session will save the comparison scores for different time options.
Worked example
This is a teaching example; results for your chart may differ.
- Situation
- There are two life events and several possible birth minutes.
- What to do
- Set methods, intervals and steps, and then check the best peaks with individual chart.
- How to read the result
- The highest peak means the best score on selected terms, not a proven accuracy of time.
For professional practice
Weights of events, methods, sessions and interval extension allow systematic comparison of hypotheses and return to the setup.
What to check for a precise comparison
Assess the quality of events dates and peak resistance to change weights, orb and step. Do not select parameters only for the sake of the desired time.
Keep in mind
Without a preserved native and related events, the calculation is not available. Changing events, methods or planets creates a new session.
Removing a session removes its calculations; the chart and events themselves remain.
