Transit chart
Compare current or selected positions of planets from the natal chart.
Screenshots show the Ukrainian app interface. The English guide describes the same controls.
What it is and why it matters
The transits chart compares the actual positions of planets on a selected date with the original chart. It helps to explore which angular contacts occur at a given time.
When to use it
- To view the sky in relation to your natal chart on a specific date.
- To check the contact found in a calendar or forecast list.
Terms explained
- Transit
- Planetary positions at a selected moment. A forecast chart compares them with the unchanged points of the radix.
- Natal chart
- The sky chart for the time and place of birth. It provides the starting chart for comparisons with forecasting techniques.
- Orb
- The permitted deviation from an exact aspect angle. A wider orb includes more contacts and extends the periods during which they are considered active.
- Exact aspect
- The moment when the deviation from the specified aspect angle reaches zero.
Where to find it
Upper panel → “transits”.
How to use it
- Open natal chart and press “transits”.
- Enter the date, time and place in the background data.
- In the right panel switch natal chart and transits circle; view the intercard grid of aspects.
- Change the date by step or go to "Tables → transits in time" to look for aspects of the period.
Settings and options
Select an option to learn how it works and when to use it. The label beside its name shows whether it affects calculations, chart appearance or data.
Transits / NatalAction
Transits adds a sky to the radix at the background moment; the natal chart returns a single original chart.
- What changes
- In a double chart distinguish which planet is natal and which is moving. The active circuit switch determines the tables display.
- When to use it
- To analyze the current contact, check both circles and their orb; the forecast time is given in the background data.
The result
The external circle will show transits, and the table - its relationships with the natal chart.
Worked example
This is a teaching example; results for your chart may differ.
- Situation
- You are exploring the transits of Saturn to natal Sun.
- What to do
- Set a date, find a pair in the intercard grid and change time by step.
- How to read the result
- Positions and deviations will indicate whether contact is approaching the exact; they themselves do not determine the event of life.
For professional practice
The circle and intercard grid are convenient for checking a specific moment after searching for a long period.
What to check for a precise comparison
Enter the moving and natal points, orb and direction of movement. For all repeated passages use "transits in time".
