Chart relocation
Move the chart to another place with the same moment saved.
Screenshots show the Ukrainian app interface. The English guide describes the same controls.
What it is and why it matters
The relocation places the same event in another place of observation. It shows how local corners and houses change for one world moment, and helps to compare cities.
When to use it
- When you explore chart for another city.
- When you want to check a specific point found on the astrocartoon map.
Terms explained
- Relocation
- Casting a chart for a different location at the same universal moment. The observation location changes; the event’s actual date does not.
- UT, UTC and time offset
- Universal time provides a common time basis for calculations. The UTC offset converts local clock time to that basis; do not apply it twice.
- House and cusp
- Houses are the twelve chart sectors associated with life topics in astrological practice. A cusp marks the beginning of a house; its position depends on the time, location and house system.
Where to find it
Astrocart → search for the city or click on the map → «Relocation».
How to use it
- Find the desired city on the map or press the coordinates.
- In the relocation panel, check local time, new angles, planets around the corners and changing houses.
- Look at the parans near the selected latitude.
- Press “Execute relocation” to open the moved chart.
Settings and options
Select an option to learn how it works and when to use it. The label beside its name shows whether it affects calculations, chart appearance or data.
Selected city / Map pointData
A new place of observation at the same universal moment.
- What changes
- A local clock may have a different record, but the event itself is not transferred in time. For an arbitrary point, time is given at UTC.
- When to use it
- Do not re-enter the same local time for another city: it would mean a different moment.
Angles / Near angles / Houses: birthplace → here / ParansAppearance
Local summary of how the chart looks for a new location.
- What changes
- Compares houses, shows proximity to corners and parans near the latitude of the city. This is a calculation criteria, not an assessment of the quality of life in the city.
- When to use it
- To verify a specific assumption of the location, taking into account the method and permission signed in the panel.
Relocate chartAction
Opens chart for the selected location with the retention of the universal moment.
- What changes
- The new view changes local angles and houses; check the title to distinguish between relocation and the original natal chart.
- When to use it
- After the preliminary comparison of cities for a detailed analysis of the selected option.
The result
You get a chart on the same UT with the coordinates of the new location.
Worked example
This is a teaching example; results for your chart may differ.
- Situation
- You are comparing the birth chart for Kiev and another city.
- What to do
- Select a second city on the map and see new corners and houses.
- How to read the result
- The difference is related to the local geometry of the same moment; it is not a new time of birth.
For professional practice
A preview of corners, houses and near parans allows you to check the assumption of a map on a particular chart.
What to check for a precise comparison
Do not leave the same local time manually for different zones: UT should be stored. Fix the system houses and the accuracy of the initial time.
Keep in mind
For any point on the map, time may be shown at UTC. The location saves the moment, so local clock time may change.
