Databases, folders, events and history
Organize saved charts and life events.
Screenshots show the Ukrainian app interface. The English guide describes the same controls.
What it is and why it matters
A chart database is your organized archive. It separates records of different tasks, stores notes and allows you to return to materials without re-entering data.
When to use it
- For sharing teaching examples and work records.
- To prepare samples, search and birth time rectification for related events.
Where to find it
The “Base chart” button in the upper panel.
How to use it
- Create a database or folder, give a name. The "New chart - here" command makes the database typical.
- Select a base in the tree and sort records by name, date, birthday, place, article or type.
- Open the record for work. To move, select chart and the command "Move to database".
- The "Record Type" field in the chart form allows you to indicate an event or horary. Related to the hit life events are transferred by importing ZET or backup; a separate choice of parent record in the form is not yet available.
- Open the “Calculation History” to return to a previously opened chart.
Settings and options
Select an option to learn how it works and when to use it. The label beside its name shows whether it affects calculations, chart appearance or data.
All databases / database / folderAppearance
The database contains records, the folder organizes several bases. “All databases” shows a combined overview.
- What changes
- The selection changes the view area; the chart itself is not moved.
- When to use it
- For a quick search, clear the unnecessary restrictions and open “All bases”.
New database / New folder / RenameAction
Creates the structure of the cartotheque or changes its name.
- What changes
- The name is entered into the field; Enter or completion of editing confirms it, Esc cancels. Empty and repeat names can be rejected.
- When to use it
- Separate training, client and research sets before you run a massive search.
Read only (lock)Action
Protect the selected database from regular editing.
- What changes
- Enabled lock limits changes; disable allows editing. This is organizational protection inside the program, not a password to the site.
- When to use it
- For archive or control sets that should not be accidentally changed.
New charts go here (star)Data
Assigns a database for new records when no other is selected.
- What changes
- The star changes the place of storage of new charts, does not carry the old ones.
- When to use it
- Set up your work base so that new charts don’t get lost among imported sets.
Sort order / sort directionAppearance
Order records by available columns, such as name or date.
- What changes
- Changes the order of lines; does not change the date and content of records. Repeat direction reverses order.
- When to use it
- For chronological events or searching for alphabet.
Click / Cmd-click / double-click a rowAction
Select records in the database table and open the chart with a double click.
- What changes
- A click selects a record; Cmd-click (⌘) adds or removes an individual record from the selection. Double-click opens the chart. The app’s left panel has a separate selection for combined charts, where Shift selects a range.
- When to use it
- For a composite, mark the right people; for export, do not leave randomly selected records.
Move to databaseAction
Transfer the selected records to another database.
- What changes
- Changes the affiliation to the cartotheque; does not move the astrological chart in a geographical sense.
- When to use it
- To arrange imports; first check the target database and its availability for recording.
Record type: Event / person’s eventsData
The event has its date, time and place; for the method of condensation, a link to a specific native is needed.
- What changes
- Related life events are transferred by importing ZET or backup. There is no separate field for the choice of parent name in the form now; the name and type of event themselves do not create this connection.
- When to use it
- For birth time rectification, keep a verified log of events with the indication of sources of accuracy.
HistoryAppearance
View the history of work with records available in the database.
- What changes
- Switches to a special list; it is not always a full backup of all previous states.
- When to use it
- To return to a recently used chart; use a backup for a reliable recovery.
Delete chart / database / folderAction
Remove the selected object after the appropriate confirmation.
- What changes
- The last database cannot be removed; folder can only be removed empty. For chart and bases read which records will be affected.
- When to use it
- Before mass removal, make a backup and turn the discharge.
Import ZET / Paste ZET / Export ZET / Backup / RestoreAction
Transfer and archive data.
- What changes
- Import adds records, export creates a file, recovery changes the current database. These are different operations with different formats.
- When to use it
- For the Zorya Astro-interchange, use a backup copy; for exchange with ZET - its format and import verification.
The result
chart will be grouped in selected bases, and events are related to natives.
Worked example
This is a teaching example; results for your chart may differ.
- Situation
- You want to keep examples for classes apart from customer charts.
- What to do
- Create a separate database and move your study records there.
- How to read the result
- Search by criterion can be limited to this base without mixing different sets.
For professional practice
Databases, folder, sorting, history and event links provide the basis for repeat work and research samples.
What to check for a precise comparison
Record organization does not replace backup. Fix time sources and distinguish between the type of “Event” and the type of event associated with a click.
Keep in mind
The “Only Reading” database protects records from changes. The last base cannot be removed.
Removing the database from the chart deletes these records after confirmation. Save a backup before mass changes.
