What it is and why it matters

Exporting tables stores numerical results so that they can be checked, sorted or used in another document. This is convenient when the circle image itself is not enough.

When to use it

  • For a list of dates or coordinates in a consultation report.
  • For your own analysis in Excel, Numbers or another table.
Terms explained
Exact aspect
The moment when the deviation from the specified aspect angle reaches zero.
Ephemeris
Positions and other parameters of celestial bodies at specified times. Tables show them in rows; graphs show lines of motion.

Where to find it

On the results screen, see “Export tables”.

How to use it

  1. Wait for the results and check the period, filters and time zone.
  2. Press “Export Table”. To insert to Excel or another table, select Copy (TSV).
  3. For the file, select CSV or TXT. For PDF or print, use the appropriate browser command and dialog.
  4. If you need additional options, open the export settings and select "Table on screen".

CSV / TSV / TXT / PDF / PrintData

CSV – UTF-8 with comas; TSV – tabulations; TXT – aligned text; PDF and print – page layout.

What changes
CSV/TSV stores table values for further analysis. In the web version, PDF is created through a browser print dialog.
When to use it
For Excel or Numbers, use CSV or TSV; for reading without an editor, TXT or PDF.

Copy (TSV)Action

Copies lines and columns with tabs in the buffer.

What changes
When inserted into the table editor, the data is divided into cells. This is a copy of values, not a live relationship from the chart.
When to use it
For your own research journal; add method parameters if they are not columns.

Print and export… / What / Paper / OrientationAppearance

Complete report preparation.

What changes
Allows you to select a table as an object and check the page layout. For broad reports, album orientation is often more readable.
When to use it
Before the final PDF, check whether the end columns are cut and the title is missing.

The result

Export the current screen report with its parameters.

Worked example

This is a teaching example; results for your chart may differ.

Situation
You want to add a list of exams to your work calendar.
What to do
Check the list settings and copy TSV or save CSV.
How to read the result
In the new table, scroll the columns date, time and point so that the formatting does not change the content.

For professional practice

Transmits the results of periodic calculations into a research or editorial process with the possibility of further processing.

What to check for a precise comparison

Keep the period, zone, technique and filters together with the numbers. The same column names do not guarantee the same calculation conditions.

Keep in mind

The button is unavailable until there are no result lines. CSV has UTF-8 coding and a comma separator; TSV uses tabulation.
