Chart type selector and combined charts
Add several predictive circles and manage their order.
Screenshots show the Ukrainian app interface. The English guide describes the same controls.
What it is and why it matters
The selector determines which calculations to show together on the circle. One external circle can show transits, another — progressions: this helps to compare techniques on a common output chart.
When to use it
- When you want to move from one natal chart to a forecast.
- When you compare several predictive techniques on one date.
Terms explained
- Radix
- The reference chart used for comparison. It is usually a natal chart, but a radix does not have to represent a birth.
- Transit
- Planetary positions at a selected moment. A forecast chart compares them with the unchanged points of the radix.
- Progression
- A symbolic correspondence between time after birth and a person’s age, using a specified scale. It is a different calculation from the actual sky on the forecast date.
Where to find it
F4 or “⋯ → Chart type selector...”.
How to use it
- Open the selector and select the technique. The usual click replaces the second circle.
- To add another technique, use a Shift-click or double-click. Shift-click on the already added technique removes it.
- In the bottom list, move circles up/down or remove with the × button.
- If necessary, remove the label "natal chart" to make the first predictive circle internal. Close the selector.
Settings and options
Select an option to learn how it works and when to use it. The label beside its name shows whether it affects calculations, chart appearance or data.
Chart type: click / Shift-click / double-clickAction
Technical selection for the car.
- What changes
- The usual click replaces the second round, the Shift-click or double adds another one. natal chart remains the original.
- When to use it
- For several techniques, add circles at the same time; then turn their names, order and parameters.
Natal in the chart type selectorAppearance
Controls the presence of radix in a set of visible circles.
- What changes
- Disconnect hides the radix in this form; the output data remains the basis for the calculation of the added techniques.
- When to use it
- For a separate view of the derivative chart; return natal chart to compare with birth.
The result
Chart and table switches will show the selected set of circles.
Worked example
This is a teaching example; results for your chart may differ.
- Situation
- You need natal chart, transits and secondary progressions at the same time.
- What to do
- Add transits with a regular click, then progressions through a Shift-click.
- How to read the result
- There will be several circles on the chart; check their names to avoid confusing coordinates.
For professional practice
The complex chart helps to simultaneously check several layers of forecast and choose the right pairs for aspects.
What to check for a precise comparison
Add only the right circles and check their order. The large number of lines does not mean greater significance of the moment.
Keep in mind
The number of circles is limited; the current number and limit are shown at the bottom of the selector.
Hiding the circle in the panel of circles changes its visibility; removing removes the technique from the chart.
