Transits over time
Find the entry into orb, the exact passes and outputs of aspects for the period.
Screenshots show the Ukrainian app interface. The English guide describes the same controls.
What it is and why it matters
The circle shows one point, and this table finds contacts on the entire selected space. For the aspect, you can see the entrance to orb, the exact passages and outputs — that is, its time structure.
When to use it
- To prepare a review of a month or year.
- To find all contact passages, including repeated in retrograde motion.
Terms explained
- Orb
- The permitted deviation from an exact aspect angle. A wider orb includes more contacts and extends the periods during which they are considered active.
- Exact aspect
- The moment when the deviation from the specified aspect angle reaches zero.
- Retrograde motion and stations
- Retrograde motion is the apparent backward motion of a planet in longitude. A station is the moment this motion changes direction. The tables use R and S markers.
Where to find it
“Transit in Time.”
How to use it
- Select the technique: transits, progressions or directions. For the latter specify the scale or method.
- Set period, moving planets and natal points. The calculation starts after the change of parameters.
- Filter aspects, change sorting or grouping by months. Go from table to report if necessary.
- Press a line or exact moment to move to the chart. The speaker button opens the chart of the selected aspect.
Settings and options
Select an option to learn how it works and when to use it. The label beside its name shows whether it affects calculations, chart appearance or data.
Period: Month / Year / 10 years / CustomCalculation
Time limits where the table or chart is looking for events. Available options depend on the screen.
- What changes
- Earlier/later buttons shift the entire period. Custom enables From and To. A longer period increases the amount of calculation.
- When to use it
- Start with the month for a quick review. To study rare events, expand the range; turn the time zone into the headline.
From / ToData
Beginning and end of the period, in the format of the date interface.
- What changes
- Set search boundaries, not a new date of birth. End should be later than the beginning; wrong boundaries need to be fixed.
- When to use it
- Use it to compare with a particular section of the event journal.
Moving planetsCalculation
Planets of predictive technique, the movement of which is compared to the radis.
- What changes
- The button on enables the planet, the off shuts off. “All” and “No” change the entire set. Moon gives a lot of short contacts.
- When to use it
- For longer cycles, start with slow planets; add Moon to study short intervals.
Aspects: Major / All / NoneCalculation
Choose the angular bonds that are needed in the current research.
- What changes
- "Major" leaves the main aspects, "All" includes all available set, individual buttons change a specific angle. orb sets the applied aspect profile.
- When to use it
- The beginner is convenient to start with the major: conjunction 0°, sextile 60°, square 90°, trigon 120°, opposition 180°. Add other angles according to the methodology.
Natal pointsCalculation
The stationary points of the original chart, to which contact of moving planets are sought.
- What changes
- The buttons include or exclude search targets. Selecting Asc/MC makes the result particularly sensitive to birth-time accuracy.
- When to use it
- Sink the set to the desired significator for consultation; return "All" for a full review.
Technique: Transits / Progressions / DirectionsCalculation
A source of moving positions for finding contacts in time.
- What changes
- Transits use actual sky, progressions - symbolic scale, directions - arc. For the latter two there are their own lists of scale or method.
- When to use it
- Do not mix different techniques into one undifferentiated list; fix the method name.
Table / Monthly forecast / By monthAppearance
The table lists individual transits, while the forecast provides a monthly overview. The By month option groups the table rows.
- What changes
- Grouping changes the order of reading, not the moments. The report does not add missing text interpretations automatically.
- When to use it
- For technical verification use a table; for period review - monthly presentation.
Entry / Exact passes / Exit / click a rowAction
The entrance and exit limit the time within orb; exasets are the exact passage inside.
- What changes
- The contact can have several exacts due to the change of direction of movement. Click translates background data to the available moment and opens the chart.
- When to use it
- The sign “earlier” or “later” means a limit beyond the chosen period; “without exacte” does not always mean an error.
ScaleCalculation
Determine how many days after birth correspond to one year of life. progressions is a symbolic re-calculation, not the actual sky of the current year.
- What changes
- Secondary: 1 days per year; Tertiary: approximately 13,37 days per year; Minor: approximately 27,32 days per year. “Own scale” uses a numerical field.
- When to use it
- To start with, secondary progressions are the easiest to check. For professional comparison, fix the scale; the same forecast date does not make different scales equivalent.
Direction methodCalculation
The arc rule to which the points of the weekend chart are transferred.
- What changes
- Changing the method reconstructs the derivative circuit; the type of coordinates and the way to obtain the bow differ.
- When to use it
- Select a specific method from the tutorial. Primary directions have a separate screen and are not synonymous with this menu.
Available options
- Equatorial direction
- Drawing in a straight line.
- Zodiacal direction
- The Zodiac Longitude.
- Solar arc, equatorial
- The arc of the chosen body in direct convergence.
- Solar arc, zodiacal
- The arrow of the chosen body for longitude.
- Persian direction
- Special Persian version; houses of the radix remain weekend.
- Profection
- Standard 30° per year: one sign per year.
The result
The list will show the periods of action of aspects and all found exact passages.
Worked example
This is a teaching example; results for your chart may differ.
- Situation
- You are exploring Jupiter’s transits to natal MC over the course of the year.
- What to do
- Leave the desired points, set the period of the year and open the exact moments found on the circle.
- How to read the result
- One contact can have several passes; the table helps you consider them as a sequence rather than missing a neighboring date.
For professional practice
Gives the basis for a consultation calendar: search for period with transition to a specific chart and export report.
What to check for a precise comparison
The action limits depend on the aspect profile and orb. Check whether Moon is enabled and which points are left in the filter.
Keep in mind
In transits, Moon mode is not initially included in the moving planets; turn it on if you need short aspects.
For long requests, narrow the period or number of points. The result can be exported.
